What’s Coming Up This Autumn?

Autumn is just around the corner, and there are only 140 days until Christmas (just thought I’d throw that out there!). There’s loads of stuff going on, in and around Manchester, helping you and the family keep busy till the end of the year.

For all those young (and older!) Thomas the Tank Engine fans, Thomas will be at various stations across the UK, giving you the chance to meet the Fat Controller and hop on board Thomas for journey of a lifetime.

Kara Lily Hayworth plays Cilla, in this remarkable and heart- warming adaptation of the critically acclaimed ITV mini-series about Cilla Black, at the Lowry. The last show will be 1st September- so you best hurry and buy your tickets!

Forget HS2, reserve your place in history with a ride behind the world’s most famous steam engine, ‘Flying Scotsman’. This legendary train was the first train to surpass 100mph and will be taking passengers through the scenic Irwell valley, this September.

Why not join Ginger, Scary, Posh, Sporty and Baby Spice at the Wannabe- the Spice Girls show?! It will be hitting Bolton Albert Halls in September. This sensational concert takes you on the journey of the Spice Girls and you can bop along to some of their hits such as, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ And many more!

If rocks more your thing, Rock for Heroes comes to Stockport Plaza in October, paying tribute to legends in the music industry. Hear songs from the likes of Queen, David Bowie, Madonna, Elton John and many more.

The Daily Mail says ‘You’ll cry with laughter’ while watching the five star rated musical, Calendar Girls. Written by Tim Firth and Gary Barlow, this show is based on a true story about a group of women who achieved something remarkable. This London West End show hits The Lowry from October 30th to 10th November.

There’s oodles of stuff going on, I’ve only named a few here. Click here for a full listing of events.
