This year the Tourism Conference was held at the stunning Crowne Plaza hotel on Oxford Road, in the heart of Manchester city centre. The day was full of interesting and thought provoking talks and workshops.
The day was hosted by Sheona Southern and Nick Brooks-Sykes from Marketing Manchester. We also heard from a variety of speakers including Sally Balcombe Chief Executive of VisitBritain, Chief Executive of Manchester City Council Joanne Roney, and Chief Executive of Manchester Airport, Andrew Cowan.
Quaytickets were this year’s sponsors- so our team went down with some Quaytickets goodie bags to support the event. The turnout was great and we met some incredible people.
Andy Burnham gave a passionate and enthusiastic speech about what’s in the pipeline for Manchester in terms of tourism and how transport affects tourism- including the fact that trees can play a role in health, wellbeing and improving transport infrastructure!
It was great to get an insight to the tourism industry and we look forward to future events and how Quaytickets can support Manchester’s growing tourism industry.
